Obituary: Charles Ray Leake Sr., 80, Lebanon

Charles Ray Leake Sr., 80, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at Signature at Colonial Health & Rehab Center in Bardstown. He was born Sept. 21, 1936, in Marion County. He was a retired plant manager at Conco Company in Louisville.

funeral_candleHe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Thomas and Mary Sally Mattingly Leake; and one son, William Chad Leake.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Bradshaw Leake of Lebanon; four daughters, Verna Marlene Weidemer and Roseann (Doug) Mercer, both of Louisville, Patricia Lynn (Joe Lee) Spalding of Bardstown and Leah Marie (Troy Sanders) Gerage of Cox’s Creek; two sons, Charles “Chuck” (Brenda Sue) Leake Jr. of Bardstown and Samuel Zane (Peggy Sue) Leake of Bloomfield; three sisters, Sarah Greenwell, Aileen Leake and Theresa Ballenger, all of Lebanon; four brothers, Joseph Thomas “Joe” Leake Jr. and Leroy Leake, both of Lebanon, William Howard “Wimpy” Leake of Bardstown and David Leake of Simpsonville; 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw as celebrant. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at the Bosley Funeral Home with a prayer service Friday at 7 p.m.

The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
